At my core I am an artist. I love the creative process. I have a heart for animals, the earth and the people that love them.
After many years as a working photographer, I have returned to painting. My work is deeply rooted in the conversation between photography and painting and I use my own photographic images as a framework from which to build each painting. I am interested in the exploration of light and color as it relates to a sense of place. Using brush, knife and rag to layer, scrape, scratch and smooth a surface to express my response to the environment I find myself in.
